High Point Fire responded to a woods fire on Crossroads Church Rd. Brush 23 and Engine 11 arrived on the scene to find a fire actively burning in the wooded area. Firefighters deployed 1,500 gallons of water to suppress the flames and ensure the fire would not extend to the surrounding area.

Preliminary investigation suggests that the fire was ignited by embers from burning trash conducted the day prior.
