Vehicle Crash - Landsford Rd.

High Point Fire, Pageland Rescue, and Lifeguard EMS were dispatched to a vehicle crash at the intersection of Landsford Rd. and Austin Rd. A High Point firefighter arrived on scene and report a two-vehicle crash. One vehicle on its roof but everyone was out. The other vehicle was on its side and the driver was trapped.

Crews from Pageland Rescue 1 and High Point Engine 11 used struts and cribbing to stabilize the vehicle and the Jaws of Life was used to remove a door allowing the driver to be extricated.

The driver was transported to Wolf Pond Baptist Church’s ball field on SC-207 where High Point Engine 31 had set up a landing zone for a MedCenter Air helicopter. The driver was transferred to the helicopter and flown to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
