Pageland Fire responded to a Fire Alarm activation at the 400 block of West Godfrey St. Upon arrival, firefighters observed light smoke coming from the roof of a single-story residential structure. E2 called for an Automatic Aid Alarm, involving Highpoint Fire, Sandhill Fire, and Lifeguard EMS.
Firefighters deployed a hoseline to the side door and utilized hooks to access the attic, where the fire was successfully extinguished. Crews then conducted thorough checks to ensure there was no further extension of the fire and proceeded with overhaul procedures.
A total of 5 engines, 1 ladder truck, and 1 heavy rescue truck, along with more than 15 firefighters from various departments, collaborated to save the home. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries. Kudos to all responders involved for their dedication and effective teamwork.
