Power Line on Truck

High Point Fire District responded to a report of a downed power line across a vehicle on Hwy 207, with the driver trapped inside. Upon arrival, Engines 11 and 21 found a garbage truck had snagged a power line, causing it to fall onto the truck and rest on the steel guard rails on both sides of the driveway. The driver was instructed to remain inside the vehicle for safety. Both engines were positioned to block one lane of Hwy 207, and traffic cones were placed to divert vehicles safely around the scene. Lynches River Electric Cooperative arrived on site and safely removed the power line. The driver was able to exit the truck unharmed.
