Landing Zone

High Point Fire was dispatched to establish a landing zone at Pageland Airport for a MedCenter Air helicopter, which was set to meet a Lifeguard ambulance for the transfer of a patient involved in a vehicle crash. Engine 51 arrived and positioned itself between the aircraft parking area and the taxiway.

Firefighters secured the landing area, conducting a thorough check for any debris that could pose a risk to the helicopter's engines.

The patient was transferred from the Lifeguard ambulance to the still-running helicopter for transport to the trauma center in Charlotte, NC.
