Fire Prevention

Petersburg Primary School

Tuesday, October 1st

The volunteers at High Point Fire District conducted their annual fire safety education day for nearly 500 students and staff at Petersburg Primary School in Pageland.

Throughout the day, students and their teachers rotated through several interactive learning stations designed to engage young learners in essential fire safety practices. These stations included critical skills such as "stop, drop, and roll," strategies for escaping a room filled with smoke, the importance of having an escape plan and meeting place, and a unique opportunity to meet firefighters while they were fully dressed in protective gear.

By equipping our youth with crucial skills and information, firefighters aim to enhance the safety and preparedness of the entire community.
