Firefighters from High Point, Ruby Mt. Croghan, Sandhills, and Pageland Fire Departments, along with Lifeguard EMS, promptly responded to a structure fire reported on Guess Rd. Upon arrival, High Point Engines 51 and 21 discovered a single-story wood frame home with light smoke emanating from the gable vents.

Firefighters made entry into the residence and located a smoldering fire in the attic. Engine 51 deployed a hose line, extinguishing the fire. Additional personnel utilized thermal imagers to monitor for any remaining hot spots within the structure. To minimize water damage, tarps were placed over furniture in the living area.

Preliminary investigations suggest the fire originated from an electrical short near a ceiling fan. No injuries were reported.
